Butterfly Bracket Mini Album

For the past 2 Saturdays, I've been showing you mini album creations. Today is the last in this series. All of these mini albums were given to our children at Christmas for them to add family photos to.

I used Lori Whitlock's Bracket Mini Album SVG cut file from the Silhouette Online Store.

Every page has a place for photos except the front and back covers.

All background papers are from
Stampin' Up "Floral District" 12x12 papers (clearance section).

This mini is for our daughter, Keri, who loves flowers and butterflies. I know this because they are tattooed all over her body. LOL

I used chipboard butterflies with vellum overlays on the wings.

All phrases are from Miss Kate Cuttables.
Some were SVG files, and some incorporated the Cameo's Print & Cut feature.

I hope you've enjoyed my mini album series these past 3 Saturdays. They have been fun to create, and I tried to capture the recipients' personality in each one making them unique. I love all the papers used and embellishments. There may be another mini album series again in January... who knows?

This project is being linked up with Just Because Linky Party (anything goes).

Thanks for stopping by.
Cheers! :) Janis

Wish Big, Little Ladybug

Happy Friday! How's your week going? Who has already been shopping or is going shopping this weekend for all the sales? I would love to go for the sales, but I hate crowds, so I'll probably skip it. But if you are going shopping, have fun for me!

I absolutely love the card I made that I'm showing you today. Sometimes I'll make a card and think, "ehh." But sometimes I'll make a card and think, "Wow. I did that!" LOL  I followed a sketch of a card I saw on Pinterest. Not sure where she got the sketch from or if she created it. The link just goes to her Etsy and there's no info on the card specifics that I could find.

I love all the layers on my card! Take a looksee.....

Accordion File Mini Album

Merry Christmas Eve!  I hope you all have a nice week with family and friends. I'm cooking for tomorrow, today. Can't wait for all the kids and grandkids to come over tomorrow. We are going to have a blast!

Remember that Christmas Tree countdown Bonnie had on the frig that started over the summer? We are down to one more tree until Santa comes!

Today, I want to show you an Accordion File Folder Mini Album designed by Lori Whitlock and purchased from the Sihouette online store. Be sure to purchase both files for this mini. One file has the base and cover cuts, the other file has the tags and tag reinforcement cuts.

I used Stampin' Up "Watercolor Wonder" for all the pattern papers. So pretty.
Butterfly cuts on the cover are from my stash of pre-assembled die cuts.
The ribbon band holding it closed is from Sparkly Sweet Crafts.
Fiskar scallop and circle punches adhered to the band.
Heart punch from Stampin' Up.

Butterflies from stash (mostly K&C chipboard butterflies).
I cut out 16 of the tags (4 in each design).
4 tags I left blank.
The rest each have a calendar print and cut from the Silhouette online store on one side and just the month title (another print and cut from the SOS) on the other side.
I figure the person getting this from me at Christmas, (my mama and daddy), can write out birthdays, anniversaries, and other important dates on the tags.
And on the tags I left blank, they may want to write out important phone numbers or some other information to have handy.

Submitted to Just Because Linky Party (anything goes).

Thanks for coming by my blog today.  Enjoy the rest of your day and week.

4" x 5" Accordion Mini Album (Lori Whitlock cut file)

Friday! Who's off of work today? We are trying to get all the flooring finished today before all of the Lewis Family comes over for a Christmas gathering tomorrow. What are you up to?

I made a mini album earlier this week that I'm excited to show you today. It's the 4" x 5" Accordion Mini by Lori Whitlock. You can get this file in the Sihouette Online Store. Make sure you add BOTH files to your shopping cart. One is just the outside and inside pages. The second file is the fold over cover and inside insert pages.

First File
Second File

To watch a video tutorial by Lori Whitlock for assembling this mini, click HERE.

Here's my completed mini!

Pattern papers from DCWV "Fiesta Forever" stack
Stampin' Up Tulle (clearance section)
Flowers from stash
Martha Stewart double loop border punch
Magnet closure from the Royal Castle Shoppe

Each page has 2 tags - a white small one and a kraft larger one.
Tags from Miss Kate Cuttables "Tags & Backgrounds"

The Stampin' Up Tulle (clearance section) easily slipped around the binding.

Here's an example of what the pages look like.
I added a small strip of paper at the bottom and only adhered it on the sides and bottom for a tag pocket.
I thought at first I'd put the months on each page and write out birthdays on the tags for that month, but decided instead to leave it blank so the recipient can customize this the way they would like.

This project entered in Anything But A Card Ch (anything goes), Just Because Linky Party (anything goes), Use Your Stuff (ribbon), and Crafting By Design (new - new mini album cut file & new paper pack).

Thanks for stopping by today! HO HO HO :) Janis

Action Wobble Moose Card

To see my Reindeer Door Hanger (3rd in the Door Hanger Series)... click HERE

Happy Hump Day!

The card I want to show you today was inspired by Gwen @ This & That.

This fun card uses a Scallop Card Base from SVG Cutting Files. When I purchased and opened the cut file, I noticed a black circle included. What was that for? I had to ask Gwen, and she kindly responded. It's for resizing your cut files. You just resize the group of cut files so that the circle is 1". That way you'll know your card will be A2 size. How smart is that? The cut file for the layering pieces for this card also has the black circle for sizing. Very smart. Of course I didn't know that when I was making my card. I just cut it the way it landed on my mat. My card measures 6 7/8" x 5 3/8". I'll be sticking this cutie in a padded envelope with some other goodies for a special friend, so the size was no problem at all for me.

Here's my card:

This ADORABLE Moose is also from SVG Cutting Files. He's attached with an Action Wobble from The Scrapbooking Queen's Royal Castle Shoppe. He wiggles back and forth like he's enjoying a fun ride or something. LOL

LOVE this tag! The tag base is from "Tags & Backgrounds" at Miss Kate Cuttables. Inked around the edges with Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress ink. Stamped with "Sahara Sand" ink by Stampin' Up with a SU sentiment from "A Dozen Thoughts." Tulle is "Crumb Cake" also by SU. All of the decorative papers are also from SU.

Shop Stampin' Up with me HERE.

I adhered the fold over flap on both sides with 1/4" Score Tape also from the Scrapbooking Queen's Royal Castle Shoppe. Holly Leaves is a Martha Stewart punch. Buttons from the Royal Castle Shoppe. I stuck some Action Wobbles in the pocket also from the Royal Castle Shoppe

Easy, fast, and giggle inducing card. Time to get it in the package and off in the mail to someone special!

Enjoy the rest of your Hump Day, and thanks for stopping by! Don't forget, starting January 7th, I'll be hosting linking parties here on my blog in the LINKY PARTY page tab. Come back and link up your crafty projects of any kind that fits our theme. New Linky Party every other Tuesday. We can't wait to get started!! And if you've read my post all the way to the end here, then I'll give you a secret head's up... the first linky party is going to be Balloons. Shhhhh...... Now you have plenty of time to get working on your project for our first linky party!

This project entered in Make It Monday (anything goes), Crafting From the Heart (anything goes), Crafting By Design (wrap it up), and  Crafty Catz (anything goes).
